Activities
Action for Asperger’s is very pleased to join the Positive Pathways Alliance; moreover, we are honoured to have been asked to collaborate. Action for Asperger’s is a counselling charity, like Service Six, but we specialise in counselling lives that have become adversely affected by the experience of autism and Asperger syndrome. We will see clients who not only have a diagnosis of autism and Asperger syndrome, but we will also see their nearest and dearest relatives who may find that they are experiencing adverse psychological issues that are to do with their familial connection.
The Positive Pathways Alliance will assist our operations by bringing us into contact with like-minded organisations who will complement and support the work that we are doing. We are extremely optimistic as to what this alliance will deliver in the future; the ultimate beneficiary being the client.
Falcon Support Services is a homeless charity not only offering accommodation and support but also real opportunities to help people on their journey of change to independence and social inclusion by linking people to work experience, volunteering pathways and community integration. We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards achieving A rated recognition for our services from Leicestershire County Council for the last 7 years.
We are committed to exploring ways of innovative working with vulnerable people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. With sound and established positive working relationships with the statutory and voluntary sectors our service users are provided with the best possible support and opportunities for personal growth.
Falcon Support Services (formerly Youth Shelter) has been an established charity since 2003 and has grown from a young people only service in Loughborough to working with adults and young people in the wider county. We have made a considerable impact on many people’s lives in the area and at present are supporting over 200 vulnerable people a year with the need for our services increasing.
